At our conversion and extension project on Berlin’s Stölpchensee, the timber structure with prefabricated elements has now been successfully assembled. In the next step, a delicate steel structure will be added on the flat roof to support the solar canopy. This naturally ventilated roof provides effective summer heat protection through the chimney effect.
With this approach, the project sets an innovative example in the field of passive cooling and building-integrated thermal protection – topics that are gaining increasing importance even in Central European climates.
