house promenade
The single-family and office building built on the property facing Groß-Glienicker-See sets a clear accent at the end of the tree-lined "lake parade". The core of the house is a two-storey air space that contains the sleeping and office areas der Web design agency Berlin: Netgenerator GmbHfrom each other and which is spanned by a bridge-like gallery. An old olive tree grows in its center and its planter has been integrated into the kitchen block. The austere cube rests on two bright clinker walls that are offset against each other in the entrance area. In the glazed joint between the two wall panels, a continuous concrete bench connects the outside and inside areas. Inside, two opposing exposed concrete stairs interlock to provide independent access to the sleeping and office areas.
