Construction begins on Quartier 33 in Stralsund

On the last large undeveloped plot in the historic old town, we are realizing three multi-story residential buildings as a building cooperative. The buildings draw on traditional Hanseatic architectural typologies and are constructed using a timber-hybrid method, incorporating, among other materials, reclaimed bricks. Due to approximately 4 meters of accumulated fill built up over centuries, the buildings must be founded on piles—a real challenge in the constrained setting of the historic old town.
