Johanneum Foundation

The library rooms of the "Johanneum Foundation" in Berlin Mitte, founded in 1869, were completely modernized and expanded by the w:a office.The "Bibliotheca Johannei" has around 10,000 titles, with the foundation being the former library of the donor, Leopold Graf Sedlnitzky von Choltitz. It is one of the most important theological libraries in the German-speaking world. The volumes for daily use by students are presented openly, selected historical volumes (the oldest book dates from 1623) are protected behind glass.The areas are also used as a prayer and meeting room for the students of the Johanneum.
